Inviting your team

Invite teammates to a business by email, choose what each person can see and edit, and review everyone's logged time in one place.

Teams is the plan for a business with more than one person in it. It’s Pro plus people, at a flat $69 a month or $690 a year.

Step by step

  1. Invite by email — Enter the person’s email and pick the business they join.
  2. Set their access — Time tracking only by default. Grant view or edit on clients, projects, quotes, invoices, expenses and contractors, per person.
  3. Assign projects and rates — Choose the projects they log time on, and an optional billing rate for each.
  4. Review the time — See everyone’s hours in one place and filter by person. Teammates get in-app notifications.

Inviting a contractor

Already tracking someone as a contractor? Invite them to the team straight from their contractor page. They then log their own time instead of sending it to you.

If you leave Teams

Your team keeps read-only access to the business until the plan is renewed.

Quirks worth knowing

The small things that trip people up.

An invite covers one business

Each invite gives access to a single business. If you run several, invite the same person again to the others you want them in.

Time tracking is the default

A new teammate can track time and nothing else. Clients, projects, quotes, invoices, expenses and contractors stay hidden until you grant view or edit access.

Members log time on assigned projects

Teammates only log hours on the projects they're assigned to, so the hours you see are on work you've handed them.

Rates are per person, per project

A billing rate is optional and set for each person on each project, so two people on the same job can bill at different rates.

Ten places, owner included

Teams covers up to 10 people per business and you count as one of them.

Leaving Teams makes the business read-only for your team

If you move back to Pro, your team keeps read-only access to the business until Teams is renewed.
