Billable has been a one-person tool. Teams changes that: it’s a new plan next to Pro that lets up to 10 people work in the same business.

Teams is Pro plus people. It costs $69/month or $690/year, flat, and covers up to 10 people per business, owner included. You invite teammates by email and choose which business each one joins. By default they can only track time. You grant anything more, per person.

What it costs

$69/month or $690/year. One flat price, however many of the 10 places you fill. Everything in Pro is included: unlimited active projects, no “Made with Billable” credit, emailed invoices and quotes, and automatic overdue reminders. See the pricing page for both plans side by side.

Inviting people

Invite a teammate by email. An invite gives access to one business only. If you run several, you choose who joins which. Up to 10 people per business, and you count as one of them.

Who can see what

Each person gets their own module access. The default is time tracking only. From there you can grant view or edit access, one module at a time, on:

  • clients
  • projects
  • quotes
  • invoices
  • expenses
  • contractors

A teammate who only needs to log hours never sees your invoices.

Time on assigned projects

Members log time on the projects they’re assigned to. You can set an optional billing rate per person, per project, so two people on the same project can bill at different rates.

You see everyone’s time in one place, with a person filter to narrow it down. Teammates get in-app notifications, so they don’t need to be chased for updates.

Invite a contractor from their page

If you already track a contractor in Billable, you can invite them to the team straight from their contractor page. The idea is simple: a small business asks its contractors to log their own time instead of collecting it afterwards by email.

Switching plans

You can move between Pro and Teams any time. Changes are prorated and it stays one subscription. If you leave Teams, your team keeps read-only access to the business until the plan is renewed.
